Who wouldn’t want to camp in a covered wagon, Teepee or Cliff Dwelling? And if you’re an RVer, the spacious sites at Zion White Bison do not disappoint.
We recently stayed at Zion White Bison and our children and grandchildren stayed in one of the covered wagons. With its proximity to Zion National Park, Zion White Bison was the perfect location for our family vacation.
RV Sites
As full-time RVers, there are certain things that we notice when going from park to park. The owners and designers of this park thought about the rving experience when laying out the park. The sites are well-spaced, and something others don’t think about. Your neighbor’s picnic table and fire pit are toward the back of the site, not right under your bedroom window! Each site has a lush green lawn with an in-ground sprinkler system. And the full concrete pad is large and level.
Each site also includes a a picnic table and gas fire pit. Hook up to your propane tank for a great campfire.
Full disclosure: As of March 2024 the RV sites were water and electric only as the owners were still waiting for the permits for the sewer to be ready. However, we were able to stay for five nights with no problem. The price has been adjusted to reflect a water and electric only site.
Glamping Options
As for the non-RVer accommodations, wow! We were so impressed with the covered wagon our children and grandchildren stayed in. Each unit has a full bathroom, television, microwave, and small refrigerator, picnic table and gas fire pit. Some of them also have an outdoor kitchen that is fully stocked, including a gas grill, sink, refrigerator, ice machine, and even a dishwasher. Everything you need to have a great family glamping experience is included.
While we were there, they were still in the process of constructing the clubhouse and laundry facilities, with plans in the works for a pool and other amenities. The basketball/pickleball courts were operational. There is a levy along the Virgin River that you can walk along and around toward the White Bison pasture. Yes, there are White Bison on the property!
Conclusion
We had such a great time at Zion White Bison, and we will definitely be back. With so many options for glamping and camping, this is a wonderful option for a family reunion, vacation, or retreat. The resort is only about a 2-hour drive from Las Vegas, and only about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park.
